Oddmall 4/20 Game Night!

JOIN US and several of our Oddmall Game-Publishing vendors at Shielded Grounds Coffee and Tabletop Gaming (123 N. Blakeley St. in Monroe) for an Oddmall Game Night complete with a raffle for PRIZES! For just $5 you’ll get to come and experience all that Shielded Grounds has to offer, as well as play games with the folks what made them! Or play completely different games! Shielded Grounds is a project that I’m kind of passionate about supporting – a certified “Safe Space” Coffee Shop with tons of room for even the largest of games, comfy seating, gender-neutral restrooms, great coffee, and you can pay five bucks and just BE THERE. Like, you can’t go to a restaurant or a bar because they expect you to keep buying stuff if you want to stay. You can’t go to the library because you gotta keep quiet and besides it’s full of “Normal” People. But Shielded Grounds? Give them five bucks, check out the game library, see if anybody wants to play, maybe try out a new game, or heck even if it’s DEAD in there, just getting the chance to paw over some games and read the instructions at your own pace? HEAVEN!
SO! How do you get to go to this special event? BUY A TICKET! Tickets can be purchased from Shielded Grounds directly, and they’ll be at Oddmall repping the shop at space D16. Drop on by!
Oh, I should mention that one of the prizes is A FRIGGIN’ TATTOO!!! Directly from Laughing Fox Studios at Lemon Drop Tattoos:

  • Up to 4 inches
  • Arm or leg placement only
  • It can be available flash or a custom piece! I particularly love nerdy themes, spooky/witchy vibes, florals/botanicals, comics, and illustrative work.
  • Winner does have to be 18 or older, as Washington doesn’t allow folks under 18 to be tattooed even with parental consent.
  • They are welcome to gift it to someone else if they win and aren’t into tattoos!

Other prizes are pretty self-explanatory – a sealed pack of Fallen Empires M:TG, a knock-off Lego set that makes a “Bat Sport Car”… all pretty cool!

We’re opening up applications for this show early this year because there’s a lot of great options out there that exact same weekend, and as a vendor I know it’s going to be really hard for you to decide which one is best for you! It’s tough!

Grit City Comic Show in Tacoma is just the one day, Saturday November 9th. Spaces for that show range from $110 to $230 for the day. Attendance is just $10! They’ve got comics professionals, cosplayers, gaming, a great-big Lego display… it’s awesome!

Geek Girl Con at the Convention Center in Seattle is the whole weekend (11/9-11-10) and is truly “Next Level” as far as conventions go, a great family show that’s also educational! It costs a non-refundable $10 to apply, and spaces are $300-$450 each. Attendance costs $35 to $200 per adult, lots of ad-ons available.

…And just for comparison, Captain Slinky Presents Oddmall Emporium of The Weird CREEPSMAS 4 Art, Craft & Gift Show in Monroe is all weekend as well, attendance is free and parking is free! Vendor spaces cost between $115-$285 (we rolled back our prices because things are tough all over, right?), food trucks, jugglers, free pics with Krampus, over 100 door prizes, Second-Chance Costume Contest, food trucks…
